Michael C. Gray, CPA

Michael Gray has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1977, and has been working in San Jose under his own direction since 1986. He received his BS in accounting and MBA at San Jose State University in June, 1974 and June, 1978, respectively. He founded Michael Gray, CPA on October 1, 1996.

Mike is one of the tax gurus of Silicon Valley. Mike is a member of the Tax Division, American Institute of CPAs, and the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council, and an associate member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and Silicon Valley Bar Association. He is a former chairman of the tax committee for the San Jose CPAs and a former member of the tax committee for the California CPAs.

The areas of practice that Mike has focused on include tax planning for individuals, estate and trust planning and administration, tax planning for businesses, tax examinations, and tax procedure. He also assists other tax practitioners in dealing with complex issues.

He is the co-author of Employee Stock Options - A Strategic Planning Guide for the 21st Century Optionaire.

He has a wife and three children, two girls and a boy, and a new grandson. But don't get into a fight with this mild-mannered accountant! He received his black belt from West Coast Tae Kwon Do in May, 1996.

After hours, you might catch Michael on the stage. He was a chorus member in the Fall 1997 production of South Pacific, and the Fall 1998 production of Carousel. He was most recently the voice of Florenz Ziegfield in the Summer 2000 production of Will Roger's Follies. All these productions were with the West Valley Light Opera.

Dawn M.G. Siemer

We may be slightly prejudiced (Dawn is Mike Gray's daughter) but we think Dawn is the best administrative assistant in the business. She has been working with Michael Gray off and on since he started his first partnership in 1986. In 1996, Dawn graduated from UC Santa Cruz as a literature major.

Dawn loves working with computers. She is the architect of this Web page.
