Can I deduct points for refinancing my principal residence?

If points are for "refinance" of the principal resident, are points deductible or should they be amortized over the life of the mortgage?

Hello Reza,
Points relating to refinancing the mortgage for a principal residence are amortized over the life of the mortgage and aren't currently deductible.
